What you do today can improve all your tomorrows.
Your morning habits matter more than you think.
The way you spend your morning usually defines the rest of your day, or at least can help you feel more in control, organized and overall better throughout the day. A research at the University College London suggests that people generally feel best in the morning and that peoples mental health and well-being, as well as productivity is highest in the morning. So why spend that time with your eyes stuck in your phone, filling your rested brain, consuming your ‘freshly charged’ batteries and productivity?
Therefore, let’s jump into this posts subject, that I guess you already figured from the title and introduction: the importance of morning habits and routines :)
Quote from the title by: ralph marstom

Did you know your brain is not only rested but the levels of cortisol are lower in the morning therefore your mind is sharper, your focus and concentration are significantly higher?
Instead of waking up and immediately opening your phone, try opening a book, reading a magazine or anything besides scrolling.
This habit changed everything for me especially cause I used to scroll on my phone endlessly and delay getting out of bed. Instead I started reading in the morning, a book, the news, a magazine or if I didn’t feel like it I would just get up and listen to music, making coffee or my breakfast. I found myself more in sync with myself and considering it ‘selfcare’ which made me feel less stressed through a full day of work.
Ginger shots and lots of water.
I know it sounds basic and you probably always hear this, but as much as you have to cultivate your brain when you wake up, the same goes for your body. Ginger shots give you ‘the perfect kick’ in the morning besides, they help your skin so much, they help digestion and boosts your immunity. Your daily ginger shot and lots of water is the best combo in the morning(besides coffee and a cig haha) and the reason why I am insisting on this is because besides being part of your morning routine, it gives you lots of vitamins and energy throughout the day, makes you feel lighter.

Move your body in any way.
Your body is your sanctuary, your temple, dont let it rot. Whether it’s taking your dog for a short walk, running, going to the gym, a little at home work out or stretching this habbit really puts you on your feet and the best part is that it is customizable. There are infinite ways in which you can move your body in the mornings and gets you refreshed.
Schedule your day/organizing.
In order to have a less stressful day and to get things done easily, especially on really busy days, a to do list or just breaking your day up and organizing it a bit changes everything. The way you organize your day is completely up to you, but hanging onto any form of organization lifts so so much stress off your shoulders. And the feeling of crossing down a task is amazing, it also helps with procrastination and having everything in one place makes you realize it’s nothing unachievable and you didn’t have what to stress so much over, in the first place.
*if you want any advice about organizing your everyday life or questions about any of the habits leave me a comment and I’ll reply happily. xx*
Make your bed.
It’s always the little things that matter. If you cannot do a small thing nicely and correctly, like your bed, how are you supposed to achieve big goals ? In Admiral William H.’s book ‘Make Your Bed’ he explains how such a little thing, that we see as unimportant is part of journey towards healthy habits. And how this mindset continues the thought of being and doing better the next day. And at the end of the day, after a hard and long day, maybe a bad one don’t you wanna get home and see your bed made and clean? Sometimes that is the only thing that remains ‘intact’ and untouched after a hard day.
And now that I talked about morning habits for your body and mind, let’s not forget the heart, the last but not least habit.
Be grateful.
Take a couple of minutes to think, write about what you’re grateful for, a couple of things that make you happy maybe. It’s so important to start your day with even a grateful thought, it makes space for love and appreciation in your life, it is proven that it can enhance well being, improve mental health and your overall outlook on life and the world around you. It helps you be more mindful and present in your everyday life.
I believe that everyday we have to do at least one thing for our body, one for our mind, and one for our hearts. These are my best recommendations and 6 habits that changed my everyday life and maybe, soon, yours as well. -e.t.

Love this! Morning routines have been such a struggle for me but lately I have been seeing people simplify it more rather than scheduling a bunch of specific activities down to the minute. Doing something for your mind, body, and heart is low pressure but I’m sure it is also highly rewarding to start your day that way!
yes please give us some advice on structurizing the day xx
